ISHWAR
(International Society For Human Welfare and Rehabilitation)

Registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 duly amended under Punjab Amendment Act 1957 as extended to the State of Delhi.

The Society was founded by Mr. Surinder Mehta and a group of Philanthrophists on 23 June 1995 with the aim of contributing to the Society by helping the physically challenged.

ISHWAR aims to enable those to whom life seems a handicap, to get back what they have lost. It aims to make the physically challenged people stand on their feet. To enable them to regain their independence and get back their confidence so that they can rise to any challenge.

It operates from Delhi and its activities transcend the barriers of colour, caste, creed, community& religion.

ISHWAR believes that a helping hand and a caring heart inspires disabled individuals to exploit their potential and to lead a fruitful & dignified life.

ISHWAR firmly believes that a physical disability is no handicap if those affected are provided with good and efficient limbs that gives them the power to stand, walk, run and be prepared to meet all challenges.

ISHWAR is an endeavour of a few committed individuals who are bound by a common urge to do something positive and meaningful for society. Not just anything but focussed to that segment that, by a quirk of fate, have suffered loss of a limb.
