ISHWAR conducts limb fitting camps independently as also with local charitable organizations, reputed NGOs with common interest and institutions such as Rotary Club of India, Lions Club etc. In order to conduct a limb fitting camp, we first need to finalize a mutually acceptable date and location for the event. Thereafter the patients requiring limb support systems /artificial limbs are to be identified. Once this has been done, the patients are required to be made available at the selected venue on the fixed date and location. ISHWAR team of Prosthetists then visits the venue and after examining each patient, carries out screening of patients as well as take the necessary measurements for fabrication of Orthotic (Limb Support devices) /Prosthetic devices (Artificial Limbs). Thereafter, as these components are required to be fabricated specifically as per measurements taken for each patient, the same is carried out by ISHWAR over a couple of weeks. A separate date generally after 4 weeks is given for fitment of these devices on the patients at the selected venue.

ISHWAR Institute of Prosthetics and Orthotics (IIPO) is a specialized training Institute run by International Society for Human Welfare and Rehabilitation (ISHWAR), a Society duly registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. IIPO came into existence in the year 2007 with the conduct of its first RCI accredited Continuing Education Programme in its facility. One of the aims and objectives of the Society is to promote Prosthetic & Orthotic education and research in the Country and assist in growth of efficient P&O Services in India and its neighboring Countries. It is towards this end that the Society has created this exclusive educational and research institute. In the year 2010, IIPO opened its Southern regional centre with similar objectives to carry out BPO Course.

Every year ISHWAR identifies poor children including children with disabilities and provides scholarship for their studies. Applications being purely on merit and limited to the real needy are processed by a team of experts who make the final selection. The awareness has been increasing every year and has grown substantially.
